Local 174 Retirees
Welcome to retirement!

Next meeting:
Wednesday, February 10th
Teamsters Building (main floor)

We hope that yours is everything you have been dreaming of. Your local union has paid your first years dues in the General Teamsters Retirees Club (GTRC). The club is made up of the retirees and spouses of locals 38, 174, 117, and 763. Annual dues are 10 dollars

Your GTRC hosts a luncheon the second Wednesday of each month. One exception is August, when we sponsor a golf tournament in lieu of a lunch. The golf tourney is essentially a fund raiser for our college scholarship program to aid the children and grandchildren of Teamster active and retired members.

Our club also has a yearly Thanksgiving and Christmas gift-card plan wherein we give needy Teamster families gift cards redeemable at local supermarkets. Our luncheons are accompanied by a short business meeting, a topical guest speaker (or speakers), prizes and great entertainment at all times.

Your GTRC has an E-board of 7 volunteers. We meet once a month to discuss finances and club business. So come on and join us for lunch when you can. You may meet some old friends, or make some new ones. Most of the information you need will be in our monthly newsletter sent to your residence. Stay involved in life, and don't forget to eat your vegetables.

YOU ARE BEING WATCHED
A burglar broke into a house one night. He shined his flashlight around, looking for valuables. He picked up a CD player to place in his sack, when a strange, disembodied voice echoed from the dark saying, “Jesus is watching you.” ...
