Welcome to
Teamsters Local 174
174 tricl

Founded in 1909, Local 174 represents some 7,200 active members working for a variety of employers, and approximately 1,000 retired members.

We have five Master Agreements -- involving our members at United Parcel Service, UPS Freight, National Master Carhaul, DHL and those working for companies under the National Master Freight Agreement. Most products bought or sold anywhere in the Seattle area are transported via a truck driven by a Local 174 member.

We also have negotiated some 200 smaller contracts. Our Business Agents and Organizers are all veterans of working in these types of jobs they deal with daily in their staff positions.

We are the second largest of the 11 Local Unions in Teamsters Joint Council 28, and have a complex, multifaceted membership. Just keeping track of member personal records, company records, and financial facts and figures is a daunting task. We also have hundreds of calls every week from members who are in need of assistance or who desire answers for job-related questions. Our Office Hours Are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
