Friday, April 29, 2011, was Al Huggins' last day of work after 42 years as a driver for UPS. This concludes a long career as both a package driver and Feeder driver that began December 30, 1968.

Al is proud of his 27 years pulling trailers over Snoqualmie pass, which started in late August 1975. He became quite adept at putting chains on his tractor and trailers each year when the weather turned bad. He often taught new drivers and backup drivers on this complex skill, but the class was always begun with a fresh cup of coffee. Many people will remember Al most recently on the Portland, Oregon run domiciled out of Tukwila.

Al looks forward to finding some free time to play golf and do some fishing while spending time with his wife Pat, three children and four grandchildren.

Local 174 would like to wish Al the best in his well-deserved retirement and congratulate him on 42 years as a Teamster member in Local 174.
